What is Tersefanou like?
Tersefanou is a small, traditional village on the plain south-west of Larnaca, just a couple of kilometres north-west of Kiti. It has a peaceful, rural feel, with fields around its edges, a village core of older homes and newer houses on its outskirts. Since 2024 it has been part of Dromolaxia–Meneou Municipality, alongside Kiti, Pervolia, Dromolaxia and Meneou.
Life here is unhurried. Most residents are Cypriot families, with a smaller number of international residents drawn by the space and the proximity to both the airport and the coast. It feels more like a working village than a holiday destination.

Homes and cost of living
Housing is mainly detached houses, bungalows and traditional village homes, with some newer small developments and plots for building. Apartments are less common than in town. Tersefanou is generally more affordable than central Larnaca and the seafront villages of Pervolia and Meneou, and you tend to get more land and space for your budget.
Running costs can be higher in some respects: larger homes take more to cool in summer, and you will rely on your car for almost everything.
Schools, healthcare and everyday amenities
The village has basic everyday services and traditional coffee shops, with a wider choice of supermarkets, pharmacies and bakeries in neighbouring Kiti and Dromolaxia. Public schools serve the local villages, and private and international schools are in Larnaca town; see our international schools guide.
Larnaca General Hospital is about 20 minutes away. Healthcare is accessed through GESY; read our GESY guide.
