Events Disclaimer
Expatify lists events in Cyprus to help you find things to do. We do not organise these events, and the details come from organisers and official sources such as Visit Cyprus. Dates, times, prices and programmes can change or events can be cancelled, so always check with the organiser before you go.
Our events calendar and newsletter list festivals, fairs, concerts, hikes and other events across Cyprus. This disclaimer explains where the information comes from and what it means for you. It is part of our Terms and Conditions.
1. Where event information comes from
Events on Expatify come from:
- official sources, such as the events listings of the Deputy Ministry of Tourism (Visit Cyprus), and other public event and ticketing sites;
- organisers, who send us their events through the form on our events page;
- paid featured events, supplied by the organiser and marked as featured.
We write a short summary of each event and link to the official listing or the organiser's website where we can.
2. Expatify is not the organiser
Unless an event clearly says otherwise, Expatify does not organise, run, host or sell tickets for the events we list. The organiser is responsible for the event, including safety, accessibility, licences, tickets, refunds and what happens on the day. Any ticket you buy is bought from the organiser or a ticket seller, on their terms.
3. Details can change
Dates, times, venues, prices, programmes and availability can change, and events can be postponed or cancelled, sometimes at short notice, for example because of the weather or fire risk. Annual events listed as "last edition" are shown for reference: the next edition may be on different dates or may not take place.
Always check with the organiser or the official listing before you go, especially if you are travelling far or booking accommodation. Calendar files (.ics) and Google Calendar links are updated when we update the listing, but your calendar app may not show changes straight away.
4. Our liability
We try to keep the calendar accurate, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is correct or up to date. To the extent the law allows, Expatify is not liable for any loss, cost or disappointment caused by an event being changed, cancelled, overbooked or different from its description, or by anything that happens at an event. Nothing in this disclaimer limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
5. For organisers
When you send us an event, you confirm that the details are accurate, that you have the right to share the event and any images, and that the event is lawful. We decide which events to include, and we may edit the description or remove an event at any time. Please tell us promptly if your event changes or is cancelled. Our Reviews and User Content Policy applies to what you send, and paid featured events are also covered by our Advertising and Sponsored Content Terms.
6. Corrections
If you spot a mistake in an event listing, please let us know through our contact form and we will correct it.
