The Directory connects expats in Cyprus with local businesses and services, from new arrivals looking for essentials to businesses seeking visibility. Using or listing on the Directory means agreeing to these terms, which aim to keep the platform clear, fair and useful.

1. Who We Are

Expatify ("we", "our", "us") is an online platform dedicated to expats in Cyprus. The Directory features local businesses, service providers and organisations that support life on the island, including immigration lawyers, movers, cafés and clinics. Our goal is to help users find quality local options and help businesses grow.

2. Who Can Use the Directory

• Users must be at least 18 years old.
• The Directory may be used only for personal, lawful purposes.
• Users must not post or solicit content that is inappropriate, misleading or harmful.
• Businesses may apply for a listing, but Expatify can approve or reject applications based on relevance, quality or accuracy.

3. Listing Eligibility and Accuracy

To be featured, a business must:

• Be located in Cyprus or directly serve the Cyprus expat community.
• Offer a lawful, reputable product or service.
• Provide accurate, truthful information, including contact details, description, location and reviews.

Submitting a listing confirms that the information is current and accurate. Listing owners are responsible for updating their entries when details change.

Listings are reviewed manually. Expatify may reject, edit or remove entries that contain false or misleading information, promote illegal or unethical activity, receive consistently negative feedback, or are irrelevant to the Cyprus expat community.

4. Business Reviews and User Feedback

The Directory may display reviews and user-generated content such as comments and ratings.

• Reviews must be honest, respectful and based on real experiences.
• Spam, personal attacks and fake reviews are not permitted.
• Businesses may respond publicly, but abusive replies will be removed.
• Content is moderated to keep the space useful, respectful and relevant. Expatify is not liable for what individual users post, but violations should be reported.

5. Paid Listings and Promotions

Some listings may be featured or promoted for a fee. For paid plans:

• Pricing, features and renewal details are stated at checkout.
• Payment is due upfront and is non-refundable unless agreed otherwise.
• The business is responsible for keeping its information and account access up to date.

Paid options increase visibility but do not affect the credibility of reviews or editorial content.

6. Intellectual Property

• Businesses keep ownership of their own content (logos, descriptions, photos) and grant Expatify a non-exclusive licence to display and promote it on the platform. Expatify will not sell or reuse this content outside the Directory without permission.
• Users must not upload content they lack the rights to use.
• All Expatify content, including the Directory's structure, layout, text and branding, is protected by copyright. It may not be copied, scraped or republished without permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

Expatify works to keep the Directory current, fair and helpful but does not guarantee that every listing is accurate or up to date, that every service will meet expectations, or that the site will be free of downtime or technical issues. Use of the Directory is entirely at your own risk. Expatify is not responsible for losses from inaccurate business information, interactions or transactions between users and businesses, or issues caused by user-submitted content. Users should research providers and use their own judgement before engaging a service.

8. Removal and Suspension

Expatify may remove any listing at any time, particularly if it:

• Breaks these terms.
• Receives consistent, serious complaints.
• Appears spammy, inactive or misleading.

User accounts may be suspended or blocked if they abuse the Directory, for example by posting fake reviews or attempting to manipulate visibility.

9. Privacy and Data Use

Data is collected and processed in line with our Privacy Policy. Business information submitted is publicly visible on listing pages. Expatify does not sell data to third parties. If an account is closed or removal is requested, the listing is deleted, although some data may remain in backups for legal or technical reasons.

10. Changes to the Directory or These Terms

Expatify may update the Directory or these terms from time to time. Major updates are posted on the site. Continuing to use the Directory after changes take effect means accepting the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and disputes are settled in Cypriot courts. If any part of the terms is found invalid, the remaining parts still apply.
