Editorial policy

How Expatify researches, writes, updates and corrects its guides to life in Cyprus.

What we publish

Expatify publishes practical guides for people moving to, or already living in, Cyprus: residency and visas, housing and neighbourhoods, healthcare, schools, work, money, and the food, culture and places that make the island feel like home.

How we research

For rules, fees and procedures we start from official sources, such as Cyprus government departments and public bodies, and link to them where we can. For places, restaurants and neighbourhoods we draw on local knowledge and first-hand visits.

Keeping guides up to date

Every guide shows the date it was last updated. We review our most-read guides regularly and update them when laws, fees or procedures change. Guides that mention a specific year or season make that clear in the text.

Corrections

If you spot something that's wrong or out of date, tell us. We check every correction and update the guide as quickly as we can.

Advertising and partners

Some businesses pay to appear in our directory or to sponsor content. Sponsored content is always labelled. Advertisers don't decide what our guides say.

Some links to products and services are affiliate links: if you buy or book through them, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend services we think are useful for people living in Cyprus, and commissions never change what we write. Read our affiliate disclosure.

Not professional advice

Our guides are general information, not legal, tax, financial or medical advice. For decisions about your own situation, speak to a qualified professional. See our disclaimer.
