What is Dromolaxia & Meneou like?

Dromolaxia and Meneou are neighbouring communities on the south-western edge of Larnaca, squeezed between the airport and the Salt Lake. Since the 2024 local government reform they form part of Dromolaxia–Meneou Municipality, which also includes Kiti, Pervolia and Tersefanou.

Dromolaxia is the larger of the two, an inland suburb that has grown quickly, with family homes, new apartment blocks and a traditional village core. Meneou is smaller and coastal, a quiet community with a beach and a residential area stretching towards Pervolia. Both have a practical, everyday feel rather than a tourist one.

Buses connect Dromolaxia and Meneou with Larnaca and the coastal villages to the south, but services are limited, especially in the evening. Our public transport guide has more detail. In practice, most residents rely on a car.

  • Retirees in Meneou who want a calm, coastal setting.

Homes and cost of living
