Luxury Christmas in Cyprus 2026: Five-Star Hotel Stays, Dinners and New Year Galas

Some years you want the full works at Christmas: a table that someone else has laid, a long lunch with a view of the sea or the pines, and a gala to see in the New Year. Cyprus's five-star hotels do this very well, and many of them sell festive meals to non-residents as well as two- and three-night packages for those who'd rather not drive home. This guide goes district by district through the luxury hotels, what they offer for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Eve, and how to book.

What is confirmed for 2026: when we checked on 5 November 2026, Four Seasons in Limassol had published its full 2026–27 festive programme with prices, Cap St Georges in Peyia had launched its 2026 Christmas and New Year packages, Golden Bay in Larnaca had confirmed its 2026 festive events, and Casale Panayiotis and Pendeli in the Troodos had festive stays on sale. For the other hotels, the 2026 festive programme is still to be announced; where we describe what they ran before, we say which year. Hotels usually publish their festive brochures in mid to late November, and we'll update this guide as they do.

The dates in 2026

• Thursday 24 December, Christmas Eve: the big night for gala dinners and DJ evenings.
• Friday 25 December, Christmas Day: a public holiday, and the main hotel lunch of the year.
• Saturday 26 December, Boxing Day: also a public holiday. Several hotels serve a Boxing Day lunch buffet.
• Thursday 31 December, New Year's Eve: galas, ballroom buffets and countdown parties.
• Friday 1 January 2027, New Year's Day: a public holiday, often with a late buffet lunch.

Because Christmas and New Year both start on a Thursday, you get two long weekends, which makes a two-night hotel package easy to fit in. For shops, banks and buses over the holidays, see what's open at Christmas in Cyprus.

How to choose, and why to book early

• Decide between a meal and a stay. A Christmas Day lunch is the simplest treat. A two-night package usually bundles a festive dinner, breakfasts and entertainment, and means nobody has to drive.
• Set menu, buffet or gala. A set menu in a fine-dining restaurant is quieter and more refined; a buffet suits families with fussy eaters; a ballroom gala brings live music, a show and dancing, at the highest price.
• Check what the price covers. Ask whether drinks, service and VAT are included. At Four Seasons in 2026, prices include VAT.
• Children. Most hotels charge less for under-12s, and some have a kids' club, an animator or a visit from Santa on Christmas Eve.
• Payment and cancellation. Expect a deposit or full prepayment for the main festive dates, and read the cancellation terms before you pay.
• Book in November. The best tables, the sea-view rooms and the family rooms go first, and some early-booking offers have already closed. Once you've chosen, put the date in your diary and confirm a week before.

Limassol

Limassol has the island's biggest cluster of luxury hotels, most of them along the coast east of the town.

Four Seasons Hotel, Limassol

A five-star hotel on a Blue Flag beach in the tourist area, with five restaurants and a spa. It is the first big hotel to have published its full 2026–27 festive programme, and it covers every date from mid-November to Epiphany.

Before Christmas: the Christmas tree is lit on Friday 13 November 2026 at 18:15. A festive afternoon tea is served at Colors Café from 4 December 2026 to 6 January 2027, and on Wednesdays 23 and 30 December there is a festive cocktail with carols, 18:00–19:00. The café also takes festive takeaway orders (collection 10:00–17:00).

Prices include VAT. Full prepayment is needed for 24, 25, 26 and 31 December and 1 January, and the dress code is smart casual. The programme does not include a festive room package, so ask room reservations if you want to stay.

Parklane, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa

A resort in Agios Tychonas, with Nammos, LPM, The Retail Village and a ballroom. Parklane has confirmed that it stays open all winter in 2026, with festive celebrations and Christmas parties in the ballroom and festive experiences at Nammos and LPM. Its 2026 festive programme is still to be announced.

What it ran in 2025: Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day lunch at Lanes, festive lunches and dinners at Nammos from Christmas Eve to New Year's Eve, a Christmas Day brunch and Boxing Day brunch at LPM, a Christmas stay with breakfast, Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day lunch, and a New Year's Eve party in the Diamond Ballroom with live acts, a DJ and a separate children's party.

The GrandResort Leonardo Limited Edition

A beachfront resort in Limassol, with 255 rooms and suites, large gardens, several restaurants, a spa and facilities for children and teenagers. Its 2026 festive programme is still to be announced. If you'd like a pre-Christmas evening out, it hosts candlelit string-quartet concerts on Friday 27 November and Friday 18 December 2026.

Columbia Beach Resort, Pissouri

A member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, set above Pissouri Bay between Limassol and Paphos, with 169 suites, a spa, pools and its own chapel. The resort has opened a Festive 2026 section on its website; check it for this year's dates and prices.

What it ran in 2025: a festive programme from 23 December to New Year's Day, with festive breakfasts, seasonal spa treatments, New Year celebrations and Christmas parties for groups.

Paphos

Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort, Peyia

A five-star resort on its own beach cove near Coral Bay, with 202 sea-view rooms and suites, ten restaurants and bars, the Cleopatra Spa, a kids' club and a new two-level golf driving range. It has launched its 2026 festive packages and published a full Christmas brochure.

• Christmas package: two nights in the room type of your choice, a champagne cocktail on Christmas Eve, a festive dinner at the restaurant of your choice, then a DJ at the Night Club and Chroma Bar, and a festive breakfast buffet on Christmas Day.
• New Year package: the same over New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
• Extras: one free hour in a game bay at the driving range, and the resort's own Christmas village and market in the square by the church of Agios Georgios.
• Children: a festive programme with Christmas shows, treasure hunts and magic and bubble shows.

Elysium, Paphos

A five-star resort on Queen Verenikis Street in Paphos, with 287 rooms and suites, five restaurants (Italian, Pan-Asian and Cypriot-Mediterranean), the Opium Health Spa, and a kids' club and crèche, which make it a good choice for families. Its 2026 festive programme is still to be announced.

Aphrodite Hills, Kouklia

A resort near Kouklia with a hotel, apartments and villas. Its Christmas offers page lists a one-night hotel package over 24–25 December with a Christmas Eve gala dinner, a two-night apartment package over 24–26 December, and a Christmas Day lunch, with free meals for under-2s and half price for children aged 3–12. The page gives no year, so ask for the 2026 prices before you book.

Nicosia

The capital's festive season centres on city hotels, restaurants and Christmas Eve evenings out rather than resort stays. When we checked on 5 November 2026, none of Nicosia's luxury hotels had published a 2026 festive programme, so call your chosen hotel directly and book early, as the city has fewer big ballrooms than Limassol. If you'd rather spend Christmas in the countryside, two of the nine official Christmas villages, Fikardou and Kalopanayiotis, are in Nicosia district, and Kalopanayiotis is home to Casale Panayiotis (see Troodos, below).

Larnaca

Golden Bay Beach Hotel

A five-star hotel on the sea, in landscaped gardens about 10 km from Larnaca town and 15 km from the airport. It has confirmed its 2026 festive programme, though prices were not yet published:

• Christmas Eve, Thursday 24 December: a gala dinner, so dress up.
• Christmas Day, Friday 25 December: a festive buffet lunch.
• New Year's Eve, Thursday 31 December: a gala in the Les Etoiles hall, with live music, a ballroom dancing show and a DJ to see in 2027.
• Afternoons through the season: festive afternoon teas, and afternoons with live saxophone or piano.
• Stays: 15% off rooms booked over the festive season.

Famagusta: Ayia Napa and Protaras

The resorts of Ayia Napa and Protaras are much quieter in winter, and some hotels close for the season. When we checked on 5 November 2026, no five-star hotel in the area had published a 2026 festive programme. Adams Beach Hotel in Ayia Napa had confirmed it stays open for events until 4 January 2027. Troodos: a mountain Christmas

Two upmarket mountain hotels have festive stays on sale for 2026, and a log fire and frosty air make a lovely change from the coast. If there's snow, read our snow days in Troodos guide before you drive up.

Casale Panayiotis, Kalopanayiotis

A luxury spa hotel spread across restored village houses in Kalopanayiotis, in the Marathasa valley, with the Myrianthousa Spa by the village's old healing springs. Kalopanayiotis is also one of the official Christmas villages from 21 November 2026 to 6 January 2027.

• Festive Mountain Escape: 1 December 2026 to 7 January 2027, minimum two nights, with breakfast and dinner every day at the Byzantino restaurant, a bottle of house wine and firewood on arrival, and late check-out when available.
• Pre-Christmas Getaway: stays until 17 December 2026, with breakfast, spa access and late check-out when available.

Pendeli Resort, Platres

A four-star resort in Pano Platres, reopened in 2025 after a full renovation, with the Ilios restaurant, Forest Café, Pines & Piano bar and a spa. Both its festive packages are for two nights:

• Christmas, 24–26 December 2026: roasted chestnuts and glühwein at a welcome gathering on Christmas Eve, a festive dinner at Ilios, live music, a children's animator and a visit from Santa with presents for young guests; then champagne breakfasts with live cooking, a festive lunch on Christmas Day and more time with the animator.
• New Year, 31 December 2026 – 2 January 2027: chestnuts and glühwein, a champagne reception before the New Year's Eve gala dinner at Ilios, vasilopita with a prize draw, live music, champagne breakfasts, a carvery lunch on New Year's Day and a children's animator.
