They have big car parks, cinemas and food courts, which makes them a practical stop in the summer heat or on a rainy weekend. Below are ten malls and shopping centres worth knowing about, from the largest in Nicosia to the new Limassol mall that has just been approved.

When are malls open in Cyprus?
Visit Cyprus says shops generally open between 07:00 and 21:00 from Monday to Saturday, give or take an hour or two. On Sundays they open later, typically around 11:00, and close between 14:00 and 22:00. Malls follow their own timetables within these rules, and hours change for the season and around holidays, so check the mall's own website or social pages before you go. Special hours apply before Christmas and Easter, but shops must close by 18:00 on Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and Good Friday. In 2022, when 1 May fell on a Sunday, the labour ministry reminded shops that they had to close that day, with only the cafés and restaurants inside malls allowed to open.
