Quick answer

In Cyprus you order takeaway to your door through the Wolt, Foody or Bolt Food apps, or directly from chains such as Pizza Hut and Domino's on their own websites, apps or phone lines. Bolt Food lets you pay in cash, card or Bolt balance, and fees such as a delivery fee or a small order fee are shown before you confirm. Under EU law, allergen information must be available before you buy and again when the food arrives.

  • Wolt, Foody and Bolt Food cover the main cities; enter your address to see which restaurants reach you.
  • Bolt Food accepts cash, card or Bolt balance and may add a small order fee below a minimum order price.
  • Pizza Hut Cyprus takes orders online and by phone on 77 77 77 77; Domino's Cyprus has its own app with a live Pizza Tracker.
  • For food sold at a distance, EU rules require allergen information before purchase and at delivery, free of charge.
  • Plastic cutlery, plates and straws have been banned in Cyprus since 1 October 2022.

Ordering dinner to your door in Cyprus means choosing between three big apps, a few chains with their own ordering systems and the local taverna's phone line. Here is how it works in practice.

What surprises newcomers about food delivery in Cyprus?

  • The apps deliver far more than food. Wolt's Limassol page lists categories from health and beauty to pet supplies, flowers and electronics, and in 2025 Wolt began delivering DIY and home products from Superhome Center.
  • Some grocery shops exist only for delivery. Wolt opened its first delivery-only Wolt Market in Nicosia in April 2022, promising about 30 minutes on average; by August 2023 there were five, in Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca.
  • Pizza has its own happy hour. In October 2026 Domino's Cyprus offered 50% off pizzas on Wednesdays and Fridays from 18:00 to 19:00, for collection only, with the code HAPPYHOUR.
  • Strikes happen. In March 2026 Wolt couriers went on strike over pay, so it is worth having a second app set up.

Which apps should you use?

The three main apps are Wolt, Foody and Bolt Food. Wolt delivers in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos and Famagusta/Paralimni; Bolt Food lists Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos, Ayia Napa and Famagusta; and Foody says it covers all the cities of Cyprus, with more than 2,100 stores. What reaches you depends on your exact address. For the apps themselves and their subscriptions, see our guide to useful apps for living in Cyprus.

How fees and minimum orders work

Bolt Food may add a delivery fee and a small order fee if your basket is below the store's minimum order price; you see the total before confirming. On Wolt's Limassol page in October 2026, venues showed delivery estimates of 10–50 minutes, many with a €0.00 delivery promotion, but offers change. Foody's subscription, FoodyPro, cost €5.99 a month when it launched in October 2023; check the current terms in the app.

Should you order directly from the restaurant?

Often it is worth it, especially for pizza.

  • Pizza Hut Cyprus takes orders on its website for delivery or takeaway, now or for later, and by phone on 77 77 77 77. Its basket includes a tips line, and it publishes a separate delivery menu and delivery allergen list.
  • Domino's Pizza Cyprus has its own app for delivery or collection, with a live Pizza Tracker, a Domino's More loyalty scheme and deals; its website shows the current average delivery time.
  • Pizza Mia has an app for delivery and takeaway in Limassol and Nicosia, which sends an SMS with your waiting time.
  • Local tavernas, grills and pizzerias often take orders by phone, especially in villages. Ask about delivery and payment when you call.

Cash or card, and should you tip?

Payment options appear at checkout. Bolt Food accepts cash, card or Bolt balance, and in 2023 both Wolt Market and Foody Market accepted cash on delivery as well as cards. If you plan to pay in cash, have small notes ready.

Tipping is optional. Bolt says its Cyprus couriers keep any tips in full, paid after each delivery, and Pizza Hut's online basket has a line for a tip. We found no official guidance on how much to tip a delivery courier in Cyprus.

Can you get food delivered to a beach or village?

Coverage is set by distance from the restaurant, so a beach or village outside town may have only a handful of options, or none. Before ordering:

  1. Set the delivery address as precisely as you can and add a landmark, such as the beach bar or a car park, in the note.
  2. Keep your phone on; Foody lets you chat with the rider on orders it delivers, and lets you change the address at checkout.
  3. Outside the cities, call the nearest taverna or pizzeria directly.

What about late at night?

Each restaurant sets its own hours in the apps. For late snacks and groceries, Wolt Market's second Limassol store opened from 07:00 to midnight daily in 2023, and Foody Market delivered until 23:00; check current hours in the app.

How do you order groceries?

  • Wolt lists its own Wolt Market alongside supermarkets; in Limassol in October 2026 these included METRO, Sklavenitis, Kiosky's, Alpha Sigma Foodhaus and Berezka.
  • Foody Market covered Nicosia and Limassol with more than 5,000 items in 2023. In July 2025 Alphamega agreed to buy it, subject to competition approval, to run it as Alphamega Express on Foody.
  • Alphamega's online shop offers home delivery or click and collect, with free delivery on orders of €100 or more.
  • Lidl Plus is a loyalty app for in-store offers rather than delivery: you activate coupons and scan a digital card at the till.

For supermarket chains and opening hours, see our supermarkets guide.

How do you check allergens on a delivery order?

Fourteen allergens, including gluten, milk, eggs, nuts, peanuts, sesame and shellfish, must be declared under EU law, which applies in Cyprus. For food sold through an app or website, the European Commission explains that allergen information must be given before you buy, at no extra cost, and again when the food is delivered. If you cannot see it, call the restaurant before ordering; do not rely on an order note alone for a serious allergy.

What about packaging and plastic?

Plastic cutlery, plates and straws have been banned in Cyprus since 1 October 2022, so do not expect them in your bag. New EU reuse rules for takeaway packaging start in February 2027; our coffee delivery guide explains them.
