Quick answer
Most children's birthday parties in Cyprus are held at a venue rather than at home, usually an indoor play centre with a private party room and an animator. Options include soft play centres such as Play4Kidz in Nicosia, Kiddom and Bubble Park in Limassol, Fun Factory in Larnaca and Paphos Playland, STEM parties at Engino in Limassol, clay and pottery studios, and outdoor parties at Camel Park, Golden Donkeys Farm or Apesia Hills Farm. Book weekends several weeks ahead, expect parents to stay, and check what is included in each package.
- Indoor play centres with private party rooms are the most common choice, and most offer packages with an animator, food and decorations.
- Trampolines are part of several bigger play centres, including Bubble Park and Kiddom in Limassol, Play4Kidz in Nicosia and Fun Factory in Larnaca.
- For something different, try a STEM party at Engino in Limassol, a clay session at a pottery studio, or a farm party with donkeys or camels.
- Many families invite the whole class through the class WhatsApp group, and parents usually stay, so plan food and seating for adults too.
- Weekend slots fill up early; book several weeks ahead and confirm minimum guest numbers and deposits in writing.
Children's birthdays are a big deal in Cyprus, and most parties happen at a venue rather than at home. If you are new to the island, the choice can feel overwhelming, so here is a guide to the main types of party venue, district by district, plus what to expect from the booking process and the local way of doing things.
How do kids' birthday parties work in Cyprus?
A few things may surprise newcomers:
- Venue parties are the norm. Indoor play centres with a private party room are the most popular choice, especially for under-10s. Many packages include an animator (a party host who runs games), decorations and food.
- The guest list is often big. Many families invite the whole class, and invitations usually go out through the class WhatsApp group. Others invite close friends only. Ask a couple of parents what is usual at your child's school.
- Parents stay. At younger children's parties, most parents stay for the whole time, and siblings often come too. Venues usually have a café or lounge for adults, and hosts are expected to offer adults food and drinks.
- Name days matter as well. Many Cypriot children are named after a saint and celebrate their name day on that saint's feast day, often with family visits and treats. A child may have both a name day and a birthday party.
Soft play centres with party rooms
The easiest option for younger children. Most have a separate toddler area and private rooms you can book for a set time.
- Play4Kidz, Nicosia: One of the capital's biggest indoor play centres, with soft play, trampolines, a bungee trampoline, a digital climbing wall and bowling. It has party facilities and a cafeteria for parents.
- Space Kids, Nicosia: An indoor playground aimed at ages 2 to 8, with more than 15 activities including trampolines. It organises birthday parties.
- Splash Coffee & Play, Aglantzia (Nicosia): A two-storey indoor play area with an outdoor grass space and a café. A relaxed choice for smaller parties.
- Kidsworld, Limassol: A two-storey soft play gym that holds private parties on its upper floor while the rest stays open to the public. Good if you do not want to pay for extra entertainment.
- PlayLounge Party Place, Limassol AGORA: A private party space inside the Limassol AGORA complex, with a play area for children and a lounge where adults can order drinks. Best for toddlers and young children.
- Fun Factory, Larnaca: A multi-level soft play centre on Spyrou Kyprianou Avenue with trampolines, ball pools and toddler zones. Private party rooms come with catering and entertainment options.
- Paphos Playland, Paphos: An indoor and outdoor play centre on Athinon Avenue with a maze, inflatables and themed play houses, best for roughly ages 2 to 10. Parties are a core part of what it does, and weekend slots fill up fast.
- Toy Town, Geroskipou: A role-play town for children opposite Sklavenitis, with themed rooms where kids can be shopkeepers, vets, chefs or firefighters, a sensory area for babies and toddlers, and a café for parents. You can hire the whole town privately for a birthday party.
- Little Den Playroom, Kato Paphos: A small soft play room for babies, toddlers and children up to about 6. Good for a calm first or second birthday.
Trampolines and bigger activity parks
For older children with energy to burn, choose a centre with trampolines, climbing or rides.
- Bubble Park, Limassol: One of the largest play parks in Limassol, with indoor and outdoor areas, trampolines and a bungee trampoline, a rope course, a zip line and small rides. It can host several parties at once, so it can feel busy on weekend afternoons.
- Kiddom, Limassol: The refreshed former Masterland, a large venue for ages 2 to 12 with a four-level indoor playground, a trampoline area, outdoor inflatables, mini golf and a baby zone. Party packages include themed decorations, animators and characters.
- Play4Kidz, Nicosia: As above, its trampolines and bowling make it a good fit for older primary children as well as toddlers.
STEM, crafts and pottery parties
A good choice for children who prefer making things to running around.
- Engino STEM Centre, Agios Athanasios (Limassol): Parties for ages 4 to 12 built around a hands-on session, such as building and coding robots, science experiments, woodworking and 3D printing, or a STEM escape room. As of 2026, packages start from about €300 for a minimum of 20 guests, with a non-refundable deposit; check the current terms when you book.
- Tochka Ceramics, Nicosia old town: A clay studio that hosts private events, including birthday parties. Best for older children and teens; ask about age suitability when you enquire.
- The Makers Space, Tala (Paphos): A pottery studio that runs a Saturday Kids Clay Club for ages 5 to 15. It does not advertise parties, but it is worth asking about a private group session.
- Art by the Sea, Chloraka (Paphos): A creative studio that offers pottery lessons for children. Again, ask whether it can host a small group for a birthday.
Outdoor, farm and water park parties
From roughly April to October, an outdoor party is hard to beat. In midsummer, plan for shade and avoid the middle of the day.
- Camel Park, Mazotos (Larnaca district): Camel and pony rides, animal feeding, a playground and a swimming pool, plus a restaurant. Families hold birthday parties here; some activities cost extra, so agree a package in advance.
- Golden Donkeys Farm, Skarinou (Larnaca district): A donkey farm near the Limassol–Larnaca motorway that hosts children's birthday parties. Donkey excursions mainly run in the warmer months.
- Apesia Hills Farm, Apesia (Limassol district): A hillside farm about 17 km from Limassol with donkey rides, animals to feed, a covered playground and an outdoor pool. It lists birthday parties among its events.
- Paphos Aphrodite Waterpark, Geroskipou: Offers a party package with invitations, a private area with tables and a meal and soft drink for each guest, for groups of at least 20. The park opens in the warmer months only, roughly April to November.
Practical tips
- Book early. Saturday and Sunday slots go weeks ahead, especially before Christmas and in the school holidays. Weekday afternoons after school are easier and sometimes cheaper.
- Ask exactly what is included. Check the party length, whether the animator, cake, food for adults, invitations and decorations are included, and the cost per extra child.
- Confirm in writing. Get the date, time, numbers, deposit and cancellation terms by email or message. Many venues take a non-refundable deposit.
- Count adults too. Parents and siblings often come, so plan seats, drinks and some food for them.
- Think about the weather. Indoor venues work all year. For outdoor parties, check shade and have a plan B for summer heat or a winter rain shower.
- Allergies and dietary needs. Ask the venue what it can offer and whether you can bring your own cake.
- Party bags and gifts. Small party bags are common. Guests usually bring a wrapped present, and some groups of parents club together for one bigger gift.

Where can I hold a kids' birthday party in Cyprus?
Most families book an indoor play centre with a private party room, such as Play4Kidz in Nicosia, Kiddom or Kidsworld in Limassol, Fun Factory in Larnaca or Paphos Playland. Farms, water parks, STEM centres and pottery studios are good alternatives.
Do you have to invite the whole class in Cyprus?
There is no rule. Many families invite the whole class, especially in primary school, while others invite close friends only. Ask other parents what is usual at your child's school.
Do parents stay at children's parties in Cyprus?
Usually, yes, especially with younger children. Venues often have a lounge or café area for adults, so include parents when you count food and seating.
How far ahead should I book a party venue?
For a Saturday or Sunday, book several weeks ahead, and earlier around school holidays and in December. Weekday afternoons are easier to get.
Are name days celebrated instead of birthdays in Cyprus?
Both are celebrated. Name days, the feast day of the saint a child is named after, are important in Cypriot families, but children also have birthday parties, often at a play centre.
