Confirmed 2026 Halloween events
CyHerbia Halloween Festival, Avgorou (Larnaca district)
The largest confirmed Halloween event of 2026 takes place at CyHerbia Botanical Park and Labyrinth in Avgorou, roughly between Larnaca and Ayia Napa. It runs on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November.
- Family festival: 10:00–18:00 on both days, with pumpkin carving, spooky games, a story trail, a costume competition, a magic show, face painting, workshops and a market with food and drink.
- Night of Terror: 18:00–22:00 on 31 October only, for ages 13 and over, with a haunted maze, a cursed woodland walk and live music. A ticket for 31 October covers both the daytime festival and the evening.
- Tickets: €15 general admission (pumpkin carving not included) or €28 for a bundle with a reserved pumpkin carving station. Some extras, such as archery and face painting, are paid on the day.
- Booking: online through the CyHerbia website. Carving spaces are limited, so book early.
The festival goes ahead whatever the weather, so pack an umbrella and a light jacket. It is the obvious choice for families living in Larnaca, Ayia Napa and Protaras, and a manageable day trip from Nicosia.
Cyberness Market at Kolla, Limassol
The Cyberness market at Kolla in Limassol has a two-day edition scheduled for 31 October and 1 November 2026, according to the organisers' 2026 calendar. In 2025 the same weekend was a Halloween market with costume contests for children and a dog costume contest. The 2026 theme had not been announced when we checked, so look at Kolla's channels closer to the date.

The following places held Halloween activities in 2025 but had not published 2026 details when we checked. They are worth watching over the next two weeks.
| Venue | Area | What they did in 2025 |
|---|---|---|
| Paradox Museum Limassol | Limassol Marina | Weekend pumpkin carving workshops through October |
| CVAR – Severis Foundation | Nicosia old town | A Saturday morning Halloween workshop for children aged 6–12, in Greek |
| Inspired Family Fun | Nicosia (Mall of Cyprus car park) | A two-day outdoor Halloween festival in mid-October |
| Lumina Botanical Gardens | Kornos (between Nicosia and Limassol) | An autumn and Halloween festival with crafts, games and food |
Halloween nights out for adults
No adult Halloween parties had been officially announced for 2026 when we checked. Venues usually announce them on their social media close to the date, and Cyprus Mail's weekly "what's on" column is a good place to look. CyHerbia's Night of Terror on 31 October is open to adults as well as teenagers.
If you are new to the island, events are also an easy way to meet people; see our guide to making friends in Cyprus.
Pumpkin carving and costumes
The confirmed place to carve a pumpkin in 2026 is CyHerbia's festival, where the €28 ticket includes a reserved carving station with a pumpkin. Paradox Museum Limassol ran pumpkin carving workshops in October 2025, so check its website for 2026 dates. For other days out with children, see our guide to farms and animal experiences for kids in Cyprus.
If you order a costume online from outside the EU, allow extra time for delivery and possible customs charges; our guide to sending parcels to Cyprus explains how they work. Cypriots traditionally dress up for carnival (Apokries) in February or March, so a costume can do double duty.
Halloween safety tips
- Plan for darkness. After the clocks change on 25 October the sun sets around 17:00. Give children a torch or glow sticks and choose light-coloured costumes.
- Mind the roads. Many village streets have no pavements and drivers may not expect pedestrians. An adult should walk with younger children.
- Check costume labels. Choose flame-resistant costumes and avoid masks that limit vision; face paint is often safer.
- Watch for allergies. Check sweets before children eat them, and offer non-food treats if you are giving them out.
- Drive carefully on 31 October. Expect children and costumed partygoers on the roads, and book a taxi if you are going to a party.
- Emergencies: call 112 (or 199). Our safety and practical tips for life in Cyprus cover the essentials.
