When is the best time to cycle in Cyprus?

The international Cyprus Sunshine Cup mountain-bike race is held in late winter (in 2024 it ran in February, from ancient Amathus to Tochni and Machairas), and the UCI Cyprus Gran Fondo road event takes riders around the Paphos region in spring.
  • Summer riding is best in the early morning or evening.
  • Winter is cool but comfortable for long rides on the coast; the high Troodos roads can be icy or snowy from December to February.
