• Agios Georgios Pegeia archaeological site: Early Christian settlement on the cape that flourished under Justinian I (527–565), with three basilicas, a 6th-century bath and rock-cut tombs on the cliff edge, beside a small late-13th/early-14th-century chapel. Open daily, 08:30–16:00 (16 April–15 September) and 09:30–17:00 (16 September–15 April), closed on public holidays.
• Lara Bay Turtle Conservation Station: Protected nesting beach for green and loggerhead turtles north of the gorge; nesting runs from May to August and hatchlings head to the sea in August. The approach needs a four-wheel drive or a guided tour.
• Akamas Visitor Centre, Kathikas: Information centre for the Akamas communities at Charalampou Kalaitzi 20, Kathikas (tel. +357 26 22 01 28); listed hours are 09:00–16:00 on weekdays, 10:00–15:00 on Saturdays, closed Sundays.

• Coral Beach Hotel & Resort, Coral Bay (Peyia): Large resort hotel at Coral Bay, the nearest cluster of proper hotels on the road out to Agios Georgios and the gorge.
• Droshia Traditional Homes, Droushia: Agrotourism stay in renovated stone village houses (three studios and a two-bedroom bungalow) about 10 km from the Latsi and Akamas coast.

• Without a car, take bus 615 from Paphos to the Coral Bay terminus and change to the 616 minibus for Agios Georgios church; the 616 has a two-hour midday break.

• Carry at least 1.5 litres of water per person and a hat; there is little shade on many Cyprus trails from May to October.
• Start early in summer and avoid the hottest hours (12:00–16:00).
• Wear proper walking shoes: paths are often stony and steep in places.
