• Androlikou: A recently abandoned village with crumbling houses, worth a stop on the climb above Polis.
• Blue Lagoon, near Fontana Amorosa: Popular swimming beach near Fontana Amorosa at the western end of the descent, before the ride back to Polis.
• Smigies picnic site: Forest picnic site above Neo Chorio, passed on the variant of the loop that returns via Neo Chorio.
• Baths of Aphrodite: Grotto and botanical garden past Latchi harbour, linked in myth to Aphrodite and Adonis.

• Droushia Heights Hotel, Drousia: Renovated 48-room hotel at about 600 m on the edge of Drousia, described as a base for hiking, mountain biking and birdwatching.
• Anassa, Neo Chorio (Latchi coast): Hotel on the coast road between Latchi and the Baths of Aphrodite, close to where the Akamas tracks begin.
• Polis 1907 by Louis Hotels, Polis Chrysochous: Hotel with a pool in Polis, the start and finish of the Polis routes.

• Expect steep climbs and descents on mixed tarmac and dirt; a mountain bike with front suspension is recommended.
